The Tigerbull kennel was formed in 2004 and has had a fair amount of success within Staffords with a Champion, CC winners, Reserve CC winners and two dogs with their Junior Warrants and we are members of the Kennel Club Accredited Breeders Scheme. Tigerbull Staffords are to be found in Australia and Spain, as well as the UK.
We are lucky to live in such a beautiful part of Warwickshire with a variety of animals, and of course, our beloved Staffords. We have open fields around the house and a river for the dogs to play in.
Alison started out in 2001 with Molly (Hallastaff the Acid Queen) who was her first Stafford and is the matriarch of all the Tigerbullies. Molly had fair success with placings at Crufts 2 years running and achieved her Stud Book No. However, she hated showing so was retired in 2004 when she gave birth to a beautiful litter of 7 puppies out of Ch. Valglo Casanova at Crossguns, including Celt (Hallastaff Celt at Tigerbull) and Lilly (Hallastaff Geisha Girl at Tigerbull). Out of this first litter 5 qualified for Crufts in their first year, Celt and Lilly achieved Reserve CC’s and 1st places at Crufts in 2006 and 2009 and Smudge (CH Hallastaff Young Arthur JW) has 3 CC’s all with Best of Breed, 3 Res CC’s (one of them at Crufts 2006) and his Junior Warrant to date. Smudge has also sired a Russian Champion (CH Arthur’s Knight) so the family success continues.
In 2006 Molly had another litter of 8, also by Ch. Valglo Casanova at Crossguns, and out of this litter was kept Faith (Tigerbull Mata Hari JW) who has been consistently placed in the showring and achieved her Junior Warrant.
In 2007 it was Lilly’s turn to become a mum and she had 7 puppies by Bullhawk Banksy, one of which has achieved her Stud Book number and one in Australia that has achieved a CC at the age of 10 months! So exciting futures ahead for them I think.
In 2008 Molly had her final litter and had two little ones by Ch. Stormbull Solo. She has now retired completely to a life of leisure on the sofa and its now down to the younger generations to make her proud!
Alison has also just started on a judging career within Staffords and her BOB winners have won the Terrier Group three times at Open show level.
Gary has been in the breed for over 20 years and during that time has shown a number of successful dogs, achieving CC's and RCC's, under his own affix Tocsam, including Tocsam Eco Warrior, Tocsam Hanky Panky and Tocsam Moonbeam to name but a few! He is also a Championship Show Judge awarding CC’s within the breed and is a member of the Kennel Club. We are proud he has joined “Team Tigerbull” and look forward to the future together. Gary is also now a joint owner of the Tigerbull affix.
For 2009 we have an exciting new venture planned together with the arrival of our first Japanese Shiba Inu puppy, Tapena Lilly Mae of Tigerbull, "Mae" to her friends. We have started to show her and she has qualified for Crufts 2010. We also have our first Pug puppy "Doris", Crashkon Lotus Blossom at Tigerbull and with these two lovely little ladies we hope to gain some experience within these lovely breeds, whilst still continuing to judge, show and breed our true love the Staffordshire Bull Terriers.
